EUFA NZ
Exposing Unacceptable Financial Activities Inc. Soc
REPORT RELEASED - MARCH 2009
Media Release: Friday 3 April 2009
This morning BlueChip clients, Jack and Ngaire Williams of Tauranga
held a celebration breakfast with family and friends to celebrate
today’s cancellation of a proposed the Mortgagee sale of thier home.
EUFA members have been protesting over any recovery action while an
investigation into the BlueChip failure is incomplete. The legal
action being taken on behalf of many BlueChip clients also has a
process, but it appears lenders are targeting those who had not
taken legal action.
The formal cancellation of the auction scheduled for 3 April is
reported to be cancelled due to the Williams’ protest which thwarted
the mortgagees efforts to market the property. The Williams family
have put signs of protest on their property and have not cooperated
with the real-estate agents assigned by the lenders.
Member of EUFA, Karina Williams was recently appointed as spokes
person for the members who are living under the threat of mortgagee
sales.
Ms Williams from the Uenuku Iwi of Whanganui, is known for her
tenacity in stopping the Japanese gaining ownership of a part of
Mount Ruapehu.
Today from Tauranga Ms Williams said “If we can pull together and
save a mountain we can save my parents home at 21 Bell Common Close.
People must stand up for what is right and take whatever action they
have, to stop unjust processes.”
BlueChip clients facing eviction have the full support of EUFA and
Ms Williams will stand up for anyone who is being sold up
prematurely.
Ms Williams commitment to stand up and be counted on this is driven
by her loyalty to the elderly and to the injustice of the BlueChip
crisis.
She added “We must save our old people and get government to act and
stop the bullying tactics where people are being forced from their
sanctuaries, their homes” .
